    =============================
    9.  Restrictions and Cautions
    =============================
    Below are the restrictions and cautions for this version.

    <Install, Uninstall>
    Note the following points when uninstalling software under Windows
    7/8.1/10/11.

     - StarMicronics folder
       In some cases the following folders do not delete after the driver is uninstalled:
           [Start Menu] -> [All Programs] -> [StarMicronics]
           32bit Windows:   C:\Program Files\StarMicronics
           64bit Windows:   C:\ProgramFiles(x86)-StarMicronics

       They can be manually deleted. (Right Click > Delete)

     - If the emulation is changed to ESC/POS mode by dip switch after the printer
       is installed into the‘Devices and Printers’ or ‘Printers and Faxes’ folder,
       the printer may output strange characters.
       To remedy this issue:
       1. Delete the printer from the ‘Devices and Printers’ or ‘Printers and Faxes’ folder
        OR
       2. Remove the check next to 'Enable bidirectional support' located in the ‘Ports’ tab
          of the printer driver's Properties windows.

     - Installing this software may fail if Windows Update is installing updates
        on the computer at the same time as Setup is running.
        To remedy this issue, wait for Windows Updates to finish, and then restart
        the computer. Then, run setup.

     -  Install after uninstallation
         Uninstallation older than V1.2, could not delete "connection settings" information.
         Install after uninstalltion, delete "old" connection settings, then make new connection.

     -  Update installation
         Connection settings, Loto Store, Text search, Sound Upload, and Audio informatoin
         are deleted by update.
         For Update installation, refer to "3. How to Install, How to Uninstall".

     - After the update installation, the printer driver settings are not retained.
        Please set your printer driver again.
        (Supported model: Star TSP700II, Star TSP800II, Star TUP500, Star TUP900, Star FVP10)

     - Windows 8.1 Modern UI is not supported.

    <Printer Driver>
     - If you have installed only the printer driver, you may observe are error in
        the print job status reading "Error - Printing-" when sending a large amount
        of data. This message can be ignored as there actually is no real error.
        The print job will be processed and executed normally.

     - If the Printer Queue Name is changed after a USB Printer is already installed
        using the USB Printer Class Driver, it is necessary to reboot the PC.

     - NV Logo Printing with High Image Stability Paper
        When printing an NV logo using high image stability paper,
        the data from two logos is combined and printed for best image quality.
        Therefore, it is necessary to register one logo twice when using this paper.
        The first logo in the pair is registered as an odd number and the second as
        an even number.
        When calling the logo, specify the odd number.

     - (TUP942, TUP992)
        When "Print Mode" was set to "Raster Mode", do not use with serial interface.

     - (TUP942, TUP992)
        Setting of Data Treatment Recover From Error
         When using the printer in Line mode, set 'Clear Data By Document Unit' to 'Store Data'.
         Printer may not work correctly after recovery from error without above setting.

     - (FVP10/TSP800II/TSP700II/TSP651/TSP654/TUP592/TUP542)
        Setting of Data Treatment Recover From Error
         When using 'Clear Data By Document Unit' of 'Data Treatment Recover From Error',
         set the Memory Switch of 'Block Print Start Timing(Trigger)' to 'Detect Page End'
         from Printer Settings.
         Printer may not work correctly after recovery from error without above setting.

     - (TUP592, TUP992)
        "Printer Busy Timeout" has to be set longer than "Presenter Retract Time".
        When occurred timeout during printing multiple pages without the
        above setting, following pages are not printed and the print job
        is deleted.
        "Printer Busy Timeout" default setting is 180 sec.

     - (TSP700II / TSP800II / FVP10)
        "Printed Data Upload" function is not supported when “Paper Type” is set to “Black Mark”.

     - In some applications (e.g. Microsoft Office), you may not be able to change
       the paper size from the UI in the applications.
       In this case, please set the paper size from "Printer properties" first.
       Then you can select the paper size from the UI in the applications.

     - After upgrade from software version 3.2.1 or older, printer paper size may be selected
       "Not Available". In such case, please select appropriate paper size again.

     - If you make the following settings on the [Printer properties]-[Advanced] tab,
       printing may not be performed properly, so do not change to the following settings.

       - Print directly to the printer
       - Uncheck "Enable advanced printing features"

     - When creating a user-defined paper, the left margin may not be set correctly.
       In this case, set the print mode to "Line" on the [Printer Properties] - [Device Settings] tab,
       and the left margin will be set to the correct value.

    <Printer Utility>
     - When changing Memory Switch Settings, ensure the printer power is on.

     - When using the printer in ESC/POS mode, the paper low status will
        trigger it to go offline and therefore make the Printer Utility
        inaccessible. Change the paper roll or switch to Star Line Mode to
        recover from this error.

     -  (TUP592, TUP992)
        Use printer utility without paper in presenter.
        If presenter is holding the paper, utility may not work correctly.

    <Printer Utility - Sound Upload>
     - The XML file is overwritten when uploading new .WAV files.
        However, old .WAV files still remain. So if you wish to remove old .WAV data,
        browse to the file location(s) and manually delete.

    <Printer Utility - Text Search>
     - Do not use Logo in Text Search function when [Use old style "Logo Store" function]
        is Valid.

    <Printer Utility - Windows Printer Queue Management>
     - When adding the windows printer queue of bluetooth printer, it may fail with error message
        "Could not add the printer queue.".
        In this case, please reboot your computer and add printer queue again.
        After rebooting, if adding printer queue still fails,

    =============================================================
    10-1 Resending print data to Star Micronics Cloud
         When "Print Data Upload" to Star Micronics Cloud is enabled, the upload to the cloud server
         sometimes fails for some reason. In this case, the print data you failed to upload will be
         resent automatically at the timing shown below.

         If the connection of your PC and Star Micronics Cloud server is online when the next print
         processing is executed, the print data you failed to upload will be automatically resent.

    10-2 Text data upload by WritePrinter API and OPOS Driver
         Please be aware that the results of print data generated on the cloud service
         may differ from the results of print data actually output from the printer
         when performing receipt data uploading by the above method.
         (Example: When the memory switch of the printer setting has been changed. e.g. codepage)
